Jack Steadman AKA Mr Jukes, formerly of Bombay Bicycle Club, has released a brand new single in collaboration with soul superstar Charles Bradley. The feel good soul track has achieved the coveted Radio 1 title of “Hottest Record in the World” and Mr Jack Steadman is about to emerge on his first ever solo live performance with a small show at Village Underground in London.
The video to this stunningly, feel-good tune is as fun and eccentric as the vibes in the song and does it great justice. Mr Jukes also recently released two other tracks in preparation for his debut album, God First. These were Angels/Your Love and Tears. It’s a fantastically interesting and exciting turn from the music he was releasing with Bombay Bicycle Club but you can also feel the same brand of passion flooding through his songs.
Check out the video to Grant Green by Mr Jukes ft. Charles Bradley:
Charles Bradley is an American R&B/Soul singer who has been performing since 1996 after beginning his career as a James Brown impersonator around Gainesville, Florida. His outstanding voice gave him a reputation on the music circuit and he has since been sampled by artists such as Jay-Z and Asher Roth.
When announcing this song, Jack claimed Charles is one of his favourite singers and “the man’s voice has more depth in one note than a whole choir”. He’s not wrong there!
Look out for more Mr Jukes as he prepares to launch his solo career.
