‘Never Been Wrong’ is lyrically superb and reflective
Waxahatchee are an Alabama-based indie band fronted by Katie Crutchfield who created the project in 2010 and put together the rest of the band to help her play live. The band released their debut album, Cerulean Salt, in 2013 which received positive critical acclaim and their profile began to grow as a result.
Now, Waxahatchee have just released a brand new song, Never Been wrong, and it’s an interesting indie-grunge vibe with intense, reflective lyrics about the fallout from a breakup. Never Been Wrong is the second single that has come out from Waxahatchee’s new album, Out In The Storm, which is due to be released on July 14 2017. Listen here:
Never Been Wrong – Waxahatchee
Waxahatchee’s witty lyrics are superb and fit expertly with a backdrop of stinging electric guitars and distortion. The band are about to set off on a new tour to promote this, their fourth album, featuring dates around Europe and the UK. Oh, and if you were wondering, the name ‘Waxahatchee’ is named after Waxahatchee Creek in Alabama.
